Single Sample Recording Device

$3.99 $10.00

Intercept signals, capturing a frozen state for recall. Whether a collection of notes, a moment of modulation, or a state of outputs, the device is placed between any source and its destination to record instantaneous values with a button or its trigger. A gate-activatable Play button recalls the recording, sustaining it until released. Throughput of signals can be toggled, and in the off position, allows for using the play button to switch between the recorded snapshot and 0V outputs. This means that you can use multiple devices to capture multiple snapshots and use a sequencer to activate snapshots in dynamic ways (when a unit is off, it’s zero volt output won’t conflict with a second unit’s active output).

Get experimental by feeding clocks into the recording & play triggers and for a stop-animation-like resolution reduction, use a gate for freeze effects, magnify or miniaturize or flip the snapshot with the universal gain knob, and use mono and/or poly signals freely (12 mono signals, 16 voice polyphony). Recorded snapshots are saved with presets, and they can even be saved as module presets for use elsewhere or duplicated within a patch. Designed to be complimentary, the SSR DC Array module can be used for manually posing the snapshot too.

Use the Single Sample Recording Device to manage complex changes with quick button presses and to instantiate abrupt, dramatic changes.
