Attractor Settings
- SEED
- Start from new seed value. This will give you different waveforms for each button press.
- CHAOS
- Every attractor is somewhat tamed to be musical, but with this knob you can re-introduce some natural chaos!
- Tip: Most attractors become unstable or even noisy when turning up the chaos, but there are many sweet spots
- MODE
- Choose from a multitude of different Chaotic Attractors to generate waveforms
- A, B, C, D
- Influence parameters of the Chaotic Attractors
- Note: changing parameters will be more significant the higher the complexity is
- Even the slightest change of these parameters yields vastly different results. Modulation tends to become noisy quite fast. Therefore each CV in for these parameters has a scaling knob and an attenuverter knob. Combine these to dial in the perfect amount of modulation. Works best with step sequencers!
- OFFSET and OFFSET SCALE knobs above the knob help to fine-tune a setting
- COMPLEX
- How far the Chaotic Attractor is traced before being reset
- Higher complexity gives more complex waveforms/spectra
- Tip: the COMPLEX CV can sound like a crude lowpass filter. Try patching with an envelope.
- The SWITCH next to COMPLEX lets you choose between LINEAR and EXPONENTIAL CV
- REACH
- Skip ahead in the Chaotic Attractor when tracing for more diverse waveforms/spectra
- The SWITCH next to REACH lets you chose a multiplier for the REACH value
Output Settings
- AGC
- The output of the Chaotic Attractors are hard to predict. Therefore an Automatic Gain Compensation is included. Caution! When playing with the parameters the level can vary wildly. The AGC needs time to adjust which might lead to short bursts. However, the output is still protected by a HQ clipper in any case.
- The TIME knob controls how fast the AGC reacts to changes
- DRIVE
- Separate gain for the Chaotic Attractor output
- X and Y outputs
- Output of the Chaotic Attractors and the Sub Oscillator in X and Y direction (horizontal and vertical)
- Tip: use both outputs for wiiiiide stereo effect
- DC switch
- Enable or disable the DC filter on the outputs
