An ambience extractor, eliminator of drums/bass/vocals, and width alterer, the Center Subtractor acts on stereo sources to remove commonalities between left and right channels. On samples, the surroundings emerge and on synth setups, the stereo image is manipulated in experimental ways. The fader allows you to control the degree of the effect, and can be pulled down to -100% as well. Other controls allow you to experiment with how the result is formulated. CV control of bypass and effect amount allow for interesting modulations. It's like a dry/wet control for reverb and other stereo effects, even for prerecorded sources or for entire chains of effects.
