ContraFilter is not your ordinary low-pass gate. With its powerful wavefolding and waveshaping capabilities, ContraFilter adds a new level of depth and creativity to your sound. Its gentle filtering and intuitive controls make it a joy to use, allowing you to sculpt your sound in new and exciting ways.

At its core, ContraFilter is a low-pass gate, but with a twist. Instead of simply filtering out high frequencies, it uses wavefolding and waveshaping to create unique dynamic and organic sounds. It is designed to be easy to use, with intuitive controls that allow you to shape and sculpt your sound in real-time. Here's a brief overview of its controls:

• Shape: This control lets you shape the output with the form of the input. Turning it up will emphasize the peaks and valleys of the input signal, resulting in more complex and interesting tonal variations.

• Harm: This control adds additional harmonic content to the signal. Turning it up will increase the number of wavefolds, resulting in more complex and interesting tonal variations.

• Squelch: This control mixes in the wavefolded signal. Turning it up will increase the amount of wavefolded signal being mixed in, resulting in more pronounced squelchy effects.

• Muffle: This control allows you to shape the tonal content of the signal by attenuating high frequencies. Turning it up will attenuate high frequencies, resulting in a more muted or muffled sound.

• Filter: This control allows you to further shape the tonal content of the signal by attenuating or boosting frequencies within a certain range. Turning it up will attenuate frequencies within the range set by the control, resulting in a more filtered sound.

The ContraFilter also has a single CV input that controls the filter, level, and squelch all at once. This input can be used to create dynamic and expressive effects.

Each input and output jack has a dedicated attenuator (IN and OUT) or attenuverter (CV).

Note: that when Muffle is turned all the way down, the filtering is de-activated. When Squelch is turned all the way down, the squelch effect is de-activated. When Shape is turned all the way down, the signal shaping is de-activated.
