Travel to an alternate reality where the synthesizers of the 1980s meet modular synthesis - introducing the COSMOS Pitch Utility Module.
Inspired by the Casio CZ-line of Phase Distortion synths introduced in 1984, this module combines the various Pitch-related utilities into a single module: Pitch Modulation, Pitch Bend, Vibrato, and the unique Glide Mode that allows notes to glide from a relative pitch above or below to your played note - saves using an envelope module!
Inputs, Outputs and Controls
Mod (POLY) - Sending a signal in here will be added to the Pitch Input voltage to modulate signal. Great for frequency Modulation. FM and Phase Distortion all in one! The knob attenuates the Mod Input Signal.
Pitch Bend - Connect to the Pitch Bend output of the Voltage Modular main controls to enable Pitch Bend. The knob controls the maximum range of the pitch bend.
Key Mode - Select between Mono Legato, Mono Retrigger and Full Polyphonic. Note this only takes effect if the Gate Outputs are connected to the Envelope Gate Inputs.
Vibrato Rate - Controls the rate of the Vibrato.
Vibrato Depth - Controls the depth of the Vibrato. Set to 0 for no Vibrato.
Vibrato Delay - Controls the length of time for the Vibrato to fade up to full strength.
Glide Mode Rate - Controls the time taken to glide to the desired note.
Glide Mode Note - In Glide mode, controls the starting note, relative to the note played.
Glide Mode - Choose between Glide (When the gate is triggered, the pitch will also glide up/down from the starting note as selected above) and Portamento (Starting note is based on the last played note).
Pitch In (POLY) - Pitch Signals, usually from either a sequencer or MIDI Input.
Pitch Out (POLY) - Pitch Output signals - connect to PD Oscillator Pitch Inputs.
Gate In (POLY) - Gate signals, used for controlling the Legato/Retrigger Modes as well as Note Glide.
Gate Out (POLY) - Gate output signals, connect to Envelope Gate Inputs.
