This module allows you send a CV value to a random voice number within a poly patch. Every time a trigger is received, a new voice is chosen at random, and the CV value at the input is sampled and sent to that voice on the main poly output. A trigger is also sent to the corresponding voice through the Trig Output, for triggering envelopes or other events on the selected voice.

The transition to the new CV value of the selected voice can be interpolated, using the Glide Time knob to set the interpolation time. The 1x switch avoids repetition in the voice selection.

The Latch toggle allows you to keep the trigger high until a new push of the button or trigger is received.

When the Track toggle is engaged, the input signal will be constantly passed on to the chosen voice, instead of only being sampled with the trigger. When a new trigger is received, this voice will keep its current value, and the input will be tracked on the new random voice.

As an example, this module can be used to generate slowly evolving clusters or glissando textures by paring it with the Random Values module connected to its CV input, and triggering them together. The CV output is then sent to a Poly Oscillator, and the notes will change one at a time in random order with each incoming trigger, while the other voices are sustained. It is also useful for randomly triggering voices of a poly envelope while sending pitch values to that specific voices, so as to activate individual voices in a poly signal.
