DMT 4-Step

Based on our adage of creating complexity from simplicity, the 4-Step is a simple, minimal 4 step diatonic sequencer with CV selectable step length and reset. Just set the knobs, send in a Clock, and patch out to a Pitch CV (or anything you want!).

Inputs

CLOCK - Rising edge of a gate signal with trigger and advance in the step.

RESET- Rising edge of a gate signal with reset the sequencer back to the first step.

4 Knobs - Select your pitches to output

STEPS - Use the knob or CV input to control the number of steps in your sequencer (between 2 and 4).

Outputs

CV Out - - Pitch voltage output

Hints & Tips

Combine multiple 4-Step modules with varying values and step lengths, and patch into the same Pitch input of an oscillator to increase the sequence length up to 12! Connect a random voltage to the Reset Input and get a constantly evolving sequence!

Combine with the 4-Rest module to get interesting rhythmic sequences out of your 4-Step.
