My take on the Gray Code VCV Rack Module by Squinky Labs - based on the Gray Code link - a special ordering of binary numbers in that only a single bit is flipped at any one time when advancing through the sequence. Each Clock Input will flip a pre-determined bit out of 8-bits, and reach bit is split into it's own output to be used as a gate or trigger.

The mix output combines the 8 bits together into an 8-bit number, normalised to -5 to 5volts, for use as a CV Modulation Source.

The Balanced Switch changes between 'Normal' and 'Balanced' modes, where the Balanced mode is a special ordering of the Gray Code where each bit is flipped equally often. This mode sounds is a lot less regular than Normal Mode, but there's still no randomness involved!

UPDATE The Value In Jack takes a -5v to 5v signal when the CLOCK IN is triggered, and converts it into an 8 bit number to feed the 8 gates. Defeats the point of the Gray Code a little, but it's great for experimenting feeding in an out-of-sync LFO to get some interesting patterns!
