Companion to the DMT Markov Sequencer, the Markov-B Sequencer is very similar, but uses buttons so each state has a simple ON/OFF control, which makes it a lot easier to play with!
Inputs
Clock Input - Sending a HIGH (>= 2.5v) Gate or Trigger signal to this will advance the sequencer. This will randomly select a new output based on the probability weightings given by the Probability Matrix Knobs. If the External Input jack is connected, the output will be selected based on this value.
Ext. Input - The module automatically generates a random voltage which is compared to the probability matrix to select a new step. If you would like something a little less random, the EXT INPUT allows you to send in a CV signal to
Input Jacks - Send audio or CV values into these jacks to be selected for output by the Sequencer. The currently selected stage will output via the MIX OUTPUT Jack.
CV Knobs- Generate a quantized CV Voltage using these knobs to be selected by the sequencer. The currently selected stage will output via the CV OUTPUT Jack.
Probability Matrix - A matrix of 20 buttons where each determines the likelihood of selection based on the current step.
Dark Mode - Clicking the DMT Audio logo will toggle between LIGHT and DARK modes.
Outputs
Mix Output - Outputs the selected input from the INPUT jacks.
CV Output - Outputs the selected input from the CV knobs.
Trig. Outputs - Outputs a short trigger signal when that particular step is selected.
Examples
If all Probability Buttons are on, then any outcome is equally likely to the others, i.e. completely random.
Note - if all knobs in a row are set to zero, the universe itself will collapse in on itself the sequencer will just get stuck on that row's step until a button is switched on.
