DMT Perks

$6.00

Want to roll your own percussion sounds? The DMT Perks is a combined AHD (Attack, Hold, Decay) Envelope Generator and Voltage-Controlled Amplifier. Just send in an oscillator (or any other sound) into the SIG IN jack, set the envelope controls to taste, and send a Trigger to the TRIG IN jack and voila!

Perks features an Accent circuit which sends a boosted envelope/vca signal for expressive drum patterns, as well as a CHOKE function to cut off your envelopes if another sound is triggered (like Hi Hats, for example).

Part of the DMT Drum Series - these modules are all synthesis (no samples) and are inspired by vintage analog drum machines of the late 70s early 80s, but with extra tweaks to give them a modern flavour.

Envelope Inputs

Each of the following can be controlled by a knob and/or a CV signal (with attentuation knob for fine tuning):

ATTACK TIME - Control the time from 0v to the maximum level. Goes from 0ms to 1 second.

HOLD TIME - Control the time the envelope signal is held at maximum. Goes from 0ms to 1 second.

DECAY TIME - Control the time the envelope takes to go from maximum down to 0v. Goes from 0ms to 1 second.

Other Envelope Inputs

AMP - Controls the maximum voltage the envelope will output (100% is 5v).

ACCENT - Controls the additional voltage on top of the AMP voltage when triggered by the ACCENT IN.

CURVE - Controls the curve of the envelope. At 0% the curve will be a straight line, at -100% the curve start quickly and slow down, great for click-y tech sounds. At 100% the curve starts slowly and speeds up, great for boomy sounds.

TRIG IN - A HIGH signal will trigger the envelope.

ACC IN - A HIGH signal will trigger the envelope, but with the additional voltage from the ACCENT control. Great for making these sounds louder.

CHOKE - A HIGH signal will stop the envelope, great if you have two seperate sounds that you don't want to clash.

--

ENV OUT - THe Envelope output.

VCA

SIG IN - Connect to an Audio Signal you wish to attenuate using the Envelope Generator.

GAIN - Manual attenuation of the incoming signal.

SIG OUT - Outputs the audio signal after attenuation from the envelope and Gain section.
