F_FADEZ — Master Fade In/Out Utility

F_FADEZ is a compact master fade module for Cherry Audio’s Voltage Modular Designer. Place it just before your Main Out to smoothly fade your entire patch in or out with a single button or an external trigger. The module is stereo, sample-accurate, and stores its state (on/off + fade time) with your patch. If only one channel is selected, that mono signal will be duplicated on both outputs.

Quick Start

1. Insert F_FADEZ at the end of your signal chain.
2. Patch your mix bus to IN L / IN R, and route OUT L / OUT R to your audio interface or Main Out.
3. Set Time to define the fade duration (0.05–10.0 s).
4. Press TOGGLE to fade on (open) or off (mute). Rising-edge on TRIG does the same.

I/O and Controls

• IN L / IN R — Stereo audio inputs.
  Tip: If unconnected, the output is silence.
• OUT L / OUT R — Stereo audio outputs.
• TRIG — Trigger input to toggle the fade state.
  Rising-edge detection at ~>1 V. Any short +5 V gate/trigger will work.
• TOGGLE — Momentary button. On press (down event) it toggles:
  • If currently off (muted), it fades on to full level.
  • If currently on, it fades off to mute.
• Time — Fade duration in seconds (0.05–10.0).
  Linear response by default; a short time behaves like a quick mute/unmute.
• LED1 — Visual feedback for the fade position.
