Linear Crossfade

The Linear Crossfade module provides two complementary constant-amplitude mixes of two input signals.

When the BALANCE control is in the 7 o'clock position (blue dot):

Main Output (left) is 100% Input 1 : 0% Input 2. Inverted Mix Output (right) is 0% Input 1 : 100% Input 2.

When the BALANCE control is in the 12 o'clock position (mid-way):

Main Output (left) is 50% Input 1 : 50% Input 2. Inverted Mix Output (right) is 50% Input 1 : 50% Input 2.

When the BALANCE control is in the 5 o'clock position (red dot):

Main Output (left) is 0% Input 1 : 100% Input 2. Inverted Mix Output (right) is 100% Input 1 : 0% Input 2.

This behaviour is slightly different to the Cherry Audio Crossfade module. When the CA module is in the 12 o'clock position, the output is 100% Input 1 : 100% Input 2.

The balance can be further voltage-controlled by an external signal. The external CV can be attenuated in both positive and negative directions.

The Main Output and Inverted Mix Output can be used as the left and right outputs of a voltage-controlled panner, if a mono signal is sent to Input 1 only, with Input 2 disconnected.
