LOFIFX

LOFIFX (low fidelity effects) borrows the FX section from the LOOPREC2 looping module and allows the effects to be applied to any audio signal (in LOOPREC2, the FX are only applied to the recorded loop). If you already own LOOPREC2, LOFIFX is half-price!

LOFIFX is a stereo in / out module, but if your audio source is mono, just use the left input.

FX are enabled with the adjacent mini toggle buttons with arrows indicating which effect(s) are enabled / disabled. The large button at the top of the module can be used to bypass all processing.

WOBBLE is an unusual pitch-shift effect that can sound similar to a wobbly tape recorder. The pitch shift depth and rate do not occur at a set / consistent frequency - this gives the effect an organic and unpredictable quality. This is also an interesting stereo effect as unlike a tape recorder, the left and right channels wobble independently! Increase the control for a more pronounced effect.

SWAY is a stereo pan effect, again, with a drifting non-consistent depth and rate. Increase the control for a more pronounced effect.

HI CUT and LO CUT are a pair of low-pass and high-pass filters respectively. LO CUT range is 0 - 1000Hz. HI CUT range is 1 - 10KHz.

DRIVE applies tube-like grit and distortion to the signal - great for giving drums an aggressive edge!

COMP is a simple one-knob compressor with automatic gain compensation - great for adding a bit of punch and presence. The LED above the knob will light when the incoming signal is above the compression threshold.

Put LOFIFX with the default settings on any audio source for an instant lo-fi / vintage vibe!
