Phase-Shifting Triple Morphing Oscillator!
Phase Modulation Mayhem or Swirly Super Saws/Squares?
Manual:
IO
- PITCH CV
- Controls frequency/pitch with exponential (1V/oct) signals
- MORPH CV
- Modulate the morphing from SAW to SQUARE
- PWM CV
- Modulate the pulse-width of the SQUARE
- NOTE: does not affect the SAW directly, but works nicely when morphing towards the SQUARE
- PHASE CVs
- Modulate the PHASE of each of the three voices
- NOTE: modulating with low frequency modulation (e.g. LFOs) creates lush, rich super-saw sounds
- NOTE: modulating with audio-rate signals creates PHASE MODULATION that produces intricate timbres
- NOTE: fast and slow modulation can be combined with these CV inputs
- OUTPUT
- Oscillator output
Controls:
- OCT knob
- Sets the base octave (default is C2, ca 65Hz)
- MORPH knob
- Morphs the oscillator continuously from saw to square
- PWM knob
- Sets the pulse-width of the SQUARE
- NOTE: does not affect the SAW directly, but works nicely when morphing towards the SQUARE
- PHASE knob
- Sets the PHASE OFFSET of each of the three voices
- NOTE: can create interesting waveforms that react nicely to distortion or other non-linear processing
