MIDI-KEY-SPLIT is a MIDI utility for setting up keyboard splits.
Select the split point in one of two ways:
- Set the SPLIT NOTE knob to the MIDI note number where you want the split to occur
- Toggle the LEARN button on, and press a key on the keyboard / controller that's connected to the MIDI IN jack
When a connection is made to the MIDI IN jack:
- MIDI note on / off messages received at MIDI IN greater or equal to the SPLIT NOTE will be sent to MIDI OUT UPPER
- MIDI note on / off messages received at MIDI IN less than the SPLIT NOTE will be sent to MIDI OUT LOWER
- All other MIDI messages will go to both MIDI OUTs
LEDs indicate MIDI IN / OUT status (only when there is a MIDI connection).
More complex layers and splits can be created using multiple chained MIDI-KEY-SPLIT modules.
