This module provides a poly oscillator in a small package (3HP). It is perfect for when you want to have several poly oscillators in your patches without taking too much space, and for for stacking up many oscillators for additive synthesis or to produce swarming clouds.
It has 4 waveforms that you can select via toggles: sine, ramp, square, and triangle. You can set the octave value with the top knob. The frequency knob allows you to set the frequency in semitones, with a wide range of -24 to 24. You can display the frequency in Hz instead by engaging the Hz toggle above the frequency knob. This is useful for setting specific frequency values, for example for FM or additive synthesis. The octave and frequency knobs affect all the voices of the poly signal.
There is an input to control the frequency with CV, with its own attenuverter. Set the attenuverter to 100% if you want it to track in volts per octave. To set each voice to a its own frequency, use a poly signal connected to this input. There is also a sync input to hard sync the oscillators with a poly signal.
This module is part of the collection of Benard mini modules, which aims to provide powerful modules in very small packages for flexibility in designing patches when space is limited, such as when working on a small screen for studio or live performance.
