This is a simple but very powerful 8-step sequencer, in a really small package. It has knobs to set the CV values of each of its 8 steps, and scale and offset knobs to control the range of values produced. It has 4 playing modes: normal, reverse, pendulum and random, and you can select the number of steps with the slider on the right side.
You can control the rate with the small knob below the steps slider, or you can use an external clock if you want to sync it with other modules. There is a play/stop button, which also acts as a reset, and a trigger input to control this with an external signal. There is also a button to randomize the values of all the steps, which again can be controlled with an external signal by sending triggers to its input.
It is great for adding sequencing to your patches using very little space, and allows you to have several copies wherever you need them, coordinated or moving completely independently, for example to achieve constantly changing melodies. It also works very well with the other Benard mini modules, such as mini rand, which you can use to add variation to your sequences when syncing them both to an external clock.
This module is part of the collection of Benard mini modules, which aims to provide powerful modules in very small packages for flexibility in designing patches when space is limited, such as when working on a small screen for studio or live performance.
