Each bandpass filter's centre frequency is a multiple of the base frequency (default is 110Hz, but overriden by the 1v/oct control), and the multiple is determined by the SPREAD control. For example, when the SPREAD control is set to HARMONIC, the remaining frequencies follow the harmonic series (110Hz, 220Hz, 330Hz, 440Hz ...). When set to OCT (Octave), these frequencies are then Octaves apart (110Hz, 220Hz, 440Hz, 880Hz ...). Each band's gain can be controlled using the relevant gain knobs.

Having a 1v/oct control means you can control the pitch of the filter with a sequencer, as an example.
