The MM-970C is a complementary module to the MM-970A Programmable Sequencer, only this deals with gates, not control voltages.

The MM-970C features independent dual 8-step sequencers where each step can be on,off or skipped entirely - playing around with the switches live can give you ever-shifting sequences!

Connect the Gate/Clock Output from your sequencer to the Clock In of the MM-970C to trigger the Gate Sequencer, then send the output to an Envelope Generator (as an example).

Inputs & Outputs

Clock In - The sequencer clock is triggered by either a GATE or TRIGGER signal, which advances the step.

Reset - Resets the sequencer back to (before) the first step.

Step Switches - In the top position, the step is ON, in the centre position, the step is OFF and won't trigger a gate. In the bottom position, the step is skipped entirely and goes to the next step.

Output - Gate output

Individual Gate Outputs - Outputs a HIGH signal if the current step is the active one (as can be seen by the LEDs next to the output.

Hints

• Connect the outputs to a Sequential Switch to get a single 16-step pattern instead of 2x8-step patterns.
• If your sequencer has a Clock In connection. Send a CLOCK signal to the MM-970C Clock Input first, then send the output to the Sequencer's Clock Input. That'll mix up your melodic sequences!
