The Null Tester Module calculates the difference signal of two stereo inputs and amplifies the resultant signal for monitoring on the Difference Output jacks.

The Null Tester Module has two stereo inputs:

Input A is the non-inverting input. If you want to use the Null Tester as a straightforward amplifier, connect your signal to Input A only, and leave Input B disconnected.

Input B is the inverting input. The signal at Input B is subtracted from the signal at Input A before being sent to the gain stage. If you want to use the Null Tester as an inverting amplifier, connect your signal to Input B only, and leave Input A disconnected.

The Null Tester can amplify the differential input signal from 0dB up to 144dB in 6dB steps. The Gain knob is calibrated in integer bits (from 0 to 24). Each bit of amplification represents a doubling in signal amplitude (equivalent to a gain of 6dB).
