It's an arpeggiator that's fed notes through a series of up to 8 pitch cv input jacks along the left. The device either steps through the notes from top to bottom or it can skip around based on which gate jacks (2nd column) are currently receiving signal. Such an architecture means that the device can arpeggiate notes generated from other sequencers, DC voltages, or really any signal, including audio and modulation sources.
There's a clock input with a reset/sync jack as well as an internal clock which is normalled for convenience. There are also per-step coarse and fine DC offset knobs, which further allow you to use the device as a stand-alone voltage sequencer, or more typically allow you to bias any given step.
The Parallel Mono arpeggiator is designed for generative methods and detailed patching, providing both simplicity and deeper access than the average, closed arpeggiator.
