Converts from one range to another range.

You specify your input range, select a method of "Analog" or "Digital", specify the output range.

Input Range:

  • Note, Voltage Modular normal keyboard scaling.
  • 1v, A straight 1 volt range. 0v to 1v
  • 5v, A straight 5 volt range. 0v to 5v
  • -5v +5v, input range between -5v and +5v.

Method:

  • Analog: This is you basic normal conversion from one range to another. There is no point converting from and to the same range.
  • Digital: The conversion goes through digital range (like Midi 0-127). There are very valid reason to convert from and to the same range.
  • Fold: If the signal is out of the Input Range it will keep on folding it in until it's within the correct range.

Output Range:

  • Note, Voltage Modular normal keyboard scaling.
  • 1v, A straight 1 volt range output.
  • 5v, A straight 5 volt range output.
  • -5v +5v, output range between -5 and +5 volts.
  • ϕ Inv Sign, inverts the signal leaving the output port.
  • II pause Sign, freezes the output.

Example, 1v range, method analog, input voltage 0.5v
output 5v range, output voltage 2.5v
output -+5v range, output voltage 0v
output Note range, output voltage 2.2916v

Other Simple ideas this device can be used for.
From Note to Note, Method digital will act as a pitch quantizer.
From -5v +5v to +5v, Method Analog will act as a Bipolar to Unipolar converter (will work well with LFO's that don't have that feature).
From +5v to -5v +5v, Method Analog will act as a Unipolar to Bipolar converter (will work well with Envelopes).

Darkmode: double click the Bear but not too hard it might make him grumpy..

Note: both the input and outputs can exceed the range specified.

Personal reason behind device: I have build a number of devices that have inputs and/or outputs of these ranges, it's handy to have this around for those devices.
