Take control of Voltage Modular with your Endless Encoders on your Midi Controller, you can also use the coders like a Macro and control several parameters across several devices at the same time from just one knob. There are other options like scaling the results up or down, setting a Min and Max, Reverse the control etc.

Plug your midi cable in, you can listen on ALL channels or specify a channel (1-16).

  • (L) Learn or Manually select the CC number that your controller Endless Encoder is sending out, you can select several L (learn buttons) at the same time to assign the same knob at once.
  • Scale, this scales the signal either up (more coarse) or down (finer) this goes from -10 to +10, Note -1 and zero are not selectable, -1 would be the same as 1, Zero would mean don't do anything at all..
  • (R) Reverse, this reverses the incoming message from the Encoder, this comes in handy when controlling more than one parameter from one Encoder.
  • (Min) and (Max). You set your control to either the Min or Max and select the option you want. When either Mix or Max is selected, the scale is automatically rescaled to that range.
  • (Learn \ Clear), this options is for learning a remote parameter from another device to control. You can also double click the label below and enter your own text, this comes in handy if you controlling multiple instances of a device.
  • (On), Scaling has to be turned on for it to be active, this means you can quickly get close the value you want then turn the scaling on to fine tune it or the other way around turn on scaling to quickly jump close to the value you want and off for normal tuning.
  • (Make Toggle), Buttons on controllers work in Toggle or Momentary modes (some controllers allow you switch between the 2 modes), this option will turn a momentary button into a toggle button, hence you have to hit the button twice to turn it on and off again. This is handy if you only have one hand on the controller, so you can turn on the scale mode and then you hand is now free to adjust the parameter in question.

Encoder Mode, Endless Encoder work in different ways as there is not a standard for them, they basically just sending out standard Midi messages, at the moment I only know of 4 ways, if you encounter any issues let me know and I can add other ways once identified.
How do I know what mode my Encoders should be in, take control of a parameter and turn it right up, it should be smooth, now turn it down (anti-clockwise), if it's still smooth you are in the correct mode, if it jumps then change the mode you are in.

Note: The display for Encoder Mode, CC, Scale and Midi channel, if you hover your mouse over the display in question, your mouse arrows will change to up\down pointer, you can now click and drag the values either up or down.

Darkmode: double click the Bear but not too hard it might make him grumpy..
