This module provides a convenient way to invert the values of a a poly envelope, so that the envelope will be open when the gate is off, and closed when the gate is on, with equivalent inverted transitions during the other stages of the envelope. It has 4 independent poly channels.
Unlike the inverted output of the envelope generator, which provides a sign inverted version of the envelope, this module subtracts the envelope value from the sustain value. You can use the knobs to match the sustain level to that of your envelope, though in most cases you will want to leave it at 100%.
It is useful for momentarily interrupting poly signals with the press of a key with a particular fade in and out shape, or to alternate between 2 poly signals at the push and release of a key or button.
