Converts MIDI to CV for up to 4 polyphonic channels, supports pitch, gate, velocity and three assignable and mappable CV sources (including polyphonic aftertouch).

Output Groups

The module has 4 output groups numbered 1 to 4, by default these are set to midi channel 1 to 4.

Each group have 6 CV outputs:

  • PT - Pitch
  • GT - Gate
  • VL - Velocity
  • A - Assignable CV (defaults to mod wheel)
  • B - Assignable CV (defaults to pitch bend)
  • C - Assignable CV (defaults to polyphonic aftertouch)

To edit an output group you click on the numbered button (see details below). The buttons are color coded to help you navigate the module: Green - The currently selected group Red - Indicates the output group is muted Grey - Default color (unmuted, unselected)

When an unmuted group receives a MIDI signal it will blink for 100 ms.

Edit Output Group - General

To edit an output group, click the numbered button (1 to 4). The top section of the module displays the output group details and allows you to change mappings etc.

Channel - Set midi channel 1 to 16.

Hold - Holds the notes of the group (it accepts gate up but not gate down).

Mute - Mutes the output group.

L / C - Midi learn for this channels hold and mute buttons. After the click the M-button the first midi message the module receives will be mapped to the Hold / Mute action for this output group. When this is mapped the label of the button will be changed to C. To clear the midi mapping, just click on the C-button.

Edit Output Group - PITCH

IN - displays the current MIDI value input

OUT - displays the current CV value output

MODE - Set note priority, available options are LAST, FIRST, HIGH, LOW.

OFFSET - offset the MIDI pitch value with up to 36 steps (3 octaves)

BEND - attenuverter for the pitch bend (up to 5V / 5 octaves).

Edit Output Group - VELOCITY

IN - displays the current MIDI value input

OUT - displays the current CV value output

POLARITY - set polarity for velocity out (UNI will give 0 to 5V, BI will give -5V to 5V)

CURVE - will change the output curve from exponential (0) to linear (0.5) to logarithmic (1).

Edit Output Group - CV A, CV B and CV C

IN - displays the current MIDI value input

OUT - displays the current CV value output

POLARITY - set polarity for velocity out (UNI will give 0 to 5V, BI will give -5V to 5V)

CURVE - will change the output curve from exponential (0) to linear (0.5) to logarithmic (1).

SOURCE - set source for this CV output. Available options are:

  • AFTERTOUCH
  • DAMPER
  • MOD
  • BEND
  • POLYPHONIC AFTERTOUCH
  • LEARN (see below)

To map the CV to a custom source, select LEARN using SOURCE button. To indicate that its in learn mode but SOURCE button will change color to green. Now just twist the knob you want to map to map the control (needs to be the same MIDI channel as the output group). When mapping is done, the SOURCE button will change color to grey and will display the mapped control (for example C1).
