This voltage processor was inspired by an original concept / request from Voltage Modular (and Dome Music Technologies) user Jean d'Oran.
It produces a unipolar triangular-peak output which rises from 0V to 5V over the first half of its input range, then falls from 5V back down to 0V over the second half of its input range. There are two switch-selectable input ranges:
Unipolar (e.g. Mod Wheel as input):
Input voltages < 0V give an output of 0V. Input voltages from 0V to 2.5V give an output voltage of 0V to 5V. Input voltages from 2.5V to 5V give an output voltage of 5V to 0V. Input voltages > 5V give an output of 0V.
Bipolar (e.g. Pitch Bend Wheel as input):
Input voltages < -5V give an output of 0V. Input voltages from -5V to 0V give an output voltage of 0V to 5V. Input voltages from 0V to 5V give an output voltage of 5V to 0V. Input voltages > 5V give an output of 0V.
There are two independent channels in the module.
As well as processing control voltages, it can also function as a rudimentary first-order audio wave folder. Multiple stages can be cascaded to generate more 'reflections' and more harmonically-rich output waveforms.
