R_WARE QUAD DC FILTER

Filter infrasonic frequencies and DC out of your signal!

Choose between a simple and effective DC Blocker or an array of cascaded DC Filters to clean your signal from any DC residue or ultra low frequencies! (Right-click on module name to open filter configuration menu)

  • Prevent potential damage to your equipment
  • Increase loudness and headroom of asymmetric signals
  • Clean up modulation sources (stabilize pitch when modulating the frequency of an oscillator)
  • Twist and turn low frequency content to alter and re-shape your waveforms with the stacked dc filters to spice up non-linear processors for creative sound design

A simple, yet indispensable workhorse in your toolkit.

Update (Build#7): added R_Ware Config Menu (right click on module name) that adds a vast number of new filters in 4 categories: DC Blocker - remove DC without affecting the waveform too much, Infrasonic - remove infrasonic frequency content, Low-End - remove low-end rumble and mud, Creative - an asortment of distorting allpasses to re-form waveforms into all kinds of twisted shapes! Additionally 3 versatile hard clippers and 2 softclippers have been added that can be enabled via the R_Ware Config Menu (right click on module name). This makes this module perfectly suited to guard your output, but still provides the flexibility to be (ab-)used in all sorts of creative ways!

Available Clipper options:

  • Hard Clipper (+/- 5V/8V/10V/12V)
    • Simple Hard Clipper that leaves the signal below the ceiling untouched
  • Softer Hard Clipper (+/- 5V/8V/10V/12V)
    • Hard Clipper with a softer edge that produces harmonics below the threshold already but has a more pleasing sound overall
  • Medium Hard Clipper (+/- 5V/8V/10V/12V)
    • Hard Clipper with an even softer edge that produces more harmonics below the threshold already but has a more driven/pleasing sound overall
  • Soft Clipper 1 (+/- 5V/8V/10V/12V)
    • Soft Clipper that saturates the signal even below the threshold adding a warm, distorted character
  • Soft Clipper 2 (+/- 5V/8V/10V/12V)
    • Gentle Soft Clipper that saturates the signal even below the threshold adding a warm, distorted character, but less than Soft Clipper 1

Available Filter Options:

  • DC Blocker (0.1Hz/0.5Hz/1hz/2Hz/5Hz/10Hz/20Hz)
    • Simple DC Blocker
      • Very simple, but efficient DC Blocker
    • Pure DC Blocker
      • More efficient DC Blocker - recommended for standard use
    • 2/4 Stack DC Blocker
      • Stack of 2/4 DC Blockers - slower and tends to bounce a little
    • 2/4/8 Pole DC Blocker
      • Slower, alters waveform more, steeper cutoff
  • Infrasonic Filter (10Hz/20Hz/30hz)
    • Gentle Infrasonic Filter
      • Veeery gentle/subtle filtering of frequencies below the cutoff frequency
    • 6dB/12dB/18dB/24dB/30dB/36dB/42dB/48dB/54dB/60dB Infrasonic Filter
      • Low-Cut filter with increasing steepness - the steeper the more the phase of the signal is affected as well
  • Low-End Filter (50Hz/100Hz/200Hz/300hz)
    • Gentle Low-End Filter
      • Veeery gentle/subtle filtering of frequencies below the cutoff frequency
    • 6dB/12dB/18dB/24dB/30dB/36dB/42dB/48dB/54dB/60dB Low-End Filter
      • Low-Cut filter with increasing steepness - the steeper the more the phase of the signal is affected as well
  • Creative Filters
    • Narrow Allpass (20Hz/40Hz/100Hz/200Hz/400Hz/800Hz)
      • Twists the phase close to the cutoff frequency
    • Medium Allpass (20Hz/40Hz/100Hz/200Hz/400Hz/800Hz)
      • Twists the phase surrounding the cutoff frequency
    • Wide Allpass (20Hz/40Hz/100Hz/200Hz/400Hz/800Hz)
      • Twists the phase around the cutoff frequency
    • UltraWide Allpass (20Hz/40Hz/100Hz/200Hz/400Hz/800Hz)
      • Twists the phase of the entire spectrum with a focus around the cutoff frequency
