Store and recall 8 variations of AHDSR settings for on-the-ready recall and rapid switching. Just turn the upper memory dial, and all settings snap right back to wherever they were last left. You can also use CV to modulate your way through the memory slots (and a knob lets you scale the modulation to include just the slots you've bothered to use).
Create mono or poly envelopes (or both at once - there are 2 sets of ins/outs) with attack, hold, decay, sustain, and release controls. Long attack and release times are possible, as well as quick percussive times. A secondary mono envelope output (bottom right) has an attenuverter and is conveniently there secondary modulation duties.
It's a great workhorse that lets you tinker with alternate ideas (without losing your first good ideas), assists in nimble performance change-ups, and allows you a preset-style workflow without any counter-intuitive complexities. Having a variety of AHDSR settings on tap can give you the speedy flexibility to change articulations with the expressiveness of traditional instruments. It tends to work even better than modulating the settings, for well-defined contrasts and cultivated variations.
