RAWX SERIES - RAWX TWISTER

BEND AND TWIST AND TILT AND TURN POLYPHONIC VOICES!

If things get boring, give them a twist! RawxTwister can rotate the voices in a polyphonic signals and tilt the values to either side.

Manual

IN

Use this INPUT to connect any polyphonic signal to RawxTwister that you want to manipulate. The provided INPUT ATTENUVERTER can be used to level the incoming signal

SHIFT

Shift the order of polyphonic voices circularly. This control offsets the voice numbering in a polyphonic signal with automatic roll-over. To be more precise, if you set this control to 2, the first voice of the polyphonic input signal will be output as the third voice of the polyphonic output signal. The second input voice, will be the fourth output voice, the third input voice will be the fifth output voice.. and so on. When the number of the output voice would exceed the set number of polyphonic voices the numbering rolls-over and starts again at the beginning. E.g. if the polyphony is set to 8 and the SHIFT control is set to 2, then input voice number 7 will become output voice number 1 and input voice number 8 will become ouptut voice number 2.

This control can be controlled via CV! The CV input can be scaled with the accompanying attenuverter on the top right of the input jack.

TILT

TILT applies offsets to the polyphonic voices in the style of a tilt control. Turning the TILT up adds an offset to the lower voice numbers and subtracts the same offset from the upper voice numbers. Turning the TILT down does the opposite. At default settings tilting polyphonic voices is linear from the lowest to the highest voice. E.g. if a polyphonic signal with all voices at 0V is input, the TILT control will add +5V to the first voice and -5V to the last voice. The voices in between receive offsets according to their number between the lowest and highest. The middle number is also the mid-point of the tilt. If the number of polyphonic voices is set to an odd number the mid-point will have an 0V offset.

This control can be controlled via CV! The CV input can be scaled with the accompanying attenuverter on the top right of the input jack.

SHAPE

SHAPE applies scaling to the TILT from logarithmic to exponential.

OUT

The OUTPUT carries the manipulated polyphonic signal. This signal can be attenuverted with the attenuverter next to the output.
