RECT turns bipolar audio and CV into positive-only signals, from half-wave to full-wave rectification. Use it to reshape an LFO, extract one side of a modulation signal, or create new control contours from an audio source.

GAIN controls input level from 0 to 4x. BIAS shifts the signal before rectification, changing which portions cross zero. SHAPE moves the OUT signal continuously from the positive half-wave to full-wave rectification. Each control has a dedicated CV input.

Three outputs are available together:

  • POS passes the positive half of the processed signal.
  • FLIP turns its negative half positive, independently of SHAPE.
  • OUT blends from the positive half alone to both rectified halves as SHAPE increases.

The BIAS CV switch selects ADD, where CV offsets the manual bias, or SCALE, where the bias knob acts as an attenuverter for incoming CV. Separate output activity indicators show when each output is producing a signal.

Try a bipolar LFO into IN and sweep BIAS to narrow its active window. Patch a second LFO into SHAPE CV to move between one modulation pulse per cycle and two. Use POS and FLIP as complementary control contours for two destinations, while OUT provides their adjustable combination.
