Single Shot Impulse Blaster

Have you ever wanted to shoot your own impulse responses? Well, that's what this module was designed for!

SSIB can take both a manual trigger or a +2.5v signal, and it outputs a momentary 5v signal. What for, you might ask? Well, you can pipe the signal (aka the output of this module) into your favorite reverb, delay (or delay line!), FX chain, or pretty much anything else, and even record the output through Voltage Modular's dedicated output jacks. What for, you might ask again? These sounds can then be loaded into IR (impulse response) software and used over and over again to help you in your sound design endeavors!

Reverb units, guitar cabinets and everything in between will sometimes allow you to load these "IR" files, which in this case, will just be .WAV files you recorded -- so if you've got a great FX chain, you can 'take it on the go' so to speak, and minimize the use of system resources.

It can also double as a nifty little "inspector" tool. What does your favorite reverb really sound like, with minimal input?
