This module consists of 8 inputs that can be routed to one of two buses, or muted, with interpolated transitions to avoid pops. Each bus has 3 outputs for convenience, and for conceptual consistency with similar hardware modules. Of course, in VM there is rarely a need to use dedicated mults, but you can use this module to get additional copies of a signal if you need more than 6, with the added benefit of being able to quickly reroute the signal to an alternate output. There is also a level control for each of the 2 sets of outputs.
The switches can be CV control by sending signals to the CV inputs to the right of the main ins. Signals below -1.5 V will turn a switch to the A position, above 1.5 V will turn it to the B position, and signals above -1.5 and below 1.5 will turn it to the center position and mute the signal. When the switch is under CV control, it will turn transparent to make this. If the CV signal is disconnected, the signal will go back to whatever output the switch indicates.
You can use this module to quickly rearrange combinations of signals during performance, and for making flexible submixes of audio or modulation signals in your patches.
