sys.6 | tremble is a low frequency oscillator with 7 different shapes and 9 mathematical output modes. The oscillator can be set in either free or sync mode. In sync mode the oscillator speed is synced to project BPM. Next to that the module offers control over offset and output level.

The controls and their functions: from top to bottom:

  • Big white knob: Sets the rate of the low frequency oscillator. In sync mode the rates are : 1/64, 1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1/1, 2/1, 4/1, 8/1, 16/1 and in free mode the range is 0.2 Hz to 40 Hz.

  • Wave knob: Sets the oscillator waveform: sine, triangle, saw, ramp, square, sample & hold - 1 (random number), sample & hold - 2 (noise source).

  • Level knob: Sets the output level of the waveform from 0% to 100%.

  • Sync switch: Switch the module from sync-mode to free mode.

  • Mode switch: switches the frequency ranges depending on the sync mode. The ranges in free mode are: 0.2 ~ 2 Hz, 1 Hz ~ 10 Hz, and 10 Hz ~ 40 Hz. In sync mode the mode switches between whole, triplet or dotted rates.

  • Type: Sets the output type. The types that are available: normal, inverted, flip-bottom, flip-top, stairs, multiply, multiply inverted, ignore-top and ignore-bottom.

  • Offset: This knob adds 5V or -5V to the output signal.

  • Type CV knob and jack: Is the input to use a CV signal to switch through the different output types.

  • Level CV knob and jack: Is the input to modulate the output level.

  • Reset: When triggered the waveform will be reset.

  • Out: Outputs the lfo signal.

  • The CV-leds have 3 states. If the incoming signal is negative, the led blinks blue, when positive they blink green.
