The Tell-Tale Voltmeter

is a simple measuring device, which however provides some useful information a standard voltmeter would not provide:

• The orange lines are all-time peak indicators. A left-click on the buttons on top will reset these.
• The white lines show the actual average maximum gain.
• The bottom end of the multi-colored display strip might sometimes appear somewhat "darkened". The more this "darkness" creeps up the strip, the less the signal is centered at 0 V. This "imbalance" is called the DC - an imaginary constant added to the signal, which effectively narrows down the signal range and should be out-balanced by another voltage constant (there's a Cherry Audio DC-generating module that can do this).
