R_Ware Variable Vortex Filter

Introducing the Variable Vortex Filter, the versatile and expressive state variable filter module from R_Ware. With three simultaneous dedicated outputs for lowpass, bandpass, and highpass, and a combined morphing output, this filter is perfect for shaping and sculpting sounds in any modular synthesizer setup.

But that's not all - the Variable Vortex Filter also features exponential and linear CV control over the cutoff frequency, as well as feedback/resonance and morphing control via CV. And with dedicated attenuverters for each CV input, you have precise and nuanced control over the modulation amount.

With its saturating character, the Variable Vortex Filter can add harmonics and distortion to your sounds, adding warmth and character to your modular patches. And with its dynamic and evolving response to CV modulation, you can create intricate and expressive soundscapes that evolve over time.

Whether you're a seasoned synth veteran or just starting out, the Variable Vortex Filter is a must-have addition to any modular synthesizer setup.

Manual

  • Input: This is the input jack for the audio signal you want to filter.

  • Lowpass Output: This is a dedicated output for the lowpass filtered signal.

  • Bandpass Output: This is a dedicated output for the bandpass filtered signal.

  • Highpass Output: This is a dedicated output for the highpass filtered signal.

  • Morphing Output: This is a combined output that blends between the different filter modes (lowpass, bandpass, and highpass).

  • Cutoff Frequency: This control adjusts the cutoff frequency of the filter. It has both exponential and linear CV inputs, as well as a dedicated attenuverter for each input.

  • Resonance/Feedback: This control adjusts the resonance of the filter. It has a CV input and a dedicated attenuverter to adjust the modulation amount.

  • Morphing: This control adjusts the morphing between the different filter modes. It has a CV input and a dedicated attenuverter to adjust the modulation amount. Note: the morphing affects the resonance of the filter greatly and affects all outputs!

With these controls, you can shape and sculpt your sounds in a variety of ways, from adjusting the filter cutoff frequency and resonance, to blending between different filter modes and adding saturation for warmth and character.
