Vector Mix is a 4-channel mixer that can be used for vector synthesis, quadraphonic panning, multidimensional modulation, crossfading, and more.
Vector Synthesis:
- Plug four different audio signals into the four quadrant inputs (A, B, C, and D).
- Use modulation sources to scan in the X and Y dimensions.
- Monitor the main Out.
Quadraphonic Panning:
- Plug a mono signal into "All In" (this routes the input to quadrants A, B, C, and D).
- Use modulation sources to pan in the X and Y dimensions.
- Outputs A, B, C, and D are your four channel outputs.
Multidimensional Modulation:
- Turn on the +5 V switch. This sends a constant 5V signal to the All In jack.
- Send LFOs, envelopes, etc. to the X and Y inputs.
- The four quadrant outputs will now be different signals related to your inputs.
Crossfading:
- Plug the signals that you want to crossfade into A and B (for example).
- Turn up Y to the maximum value (so that only A and B are audible).
- Use the X signal to crossfade between A and B. The crossfaded signal will be at the main out.
- Alternatively, the A and B outputs are now VCA outputs with levels controlled by the X signal.
