This is the sequencer version of the Input-Dependent Relay Oscillator.
Upon each trigger/gate pulse, this device steps through up to 48 inputs, sending them to the output, one at a time. You can use the device to cycle through various modulation signals, audio sources, device connectivities, sequencer lanes, and so on. There's a threshold control that allows you to select the particular voltage above which triggers a step on the rising edge, offering lots of flexibility for experimental clock sources (such as audio). There's a divider too, which means that steps can correspond to up to 64 rising edges instead of one. It's even modulatable for dynamic clock-responsiveness schemes.
Jump around to any specific step set by the cue point dial, with a trigger/gate pulse or with its neighboring blue button. Or, jump back to the start with a trigger/gate to the reset jack, which makes it easy to sync up other sequencers.
There are displays for the current step (top-right), the total steps (just below, in black), and subdivisions (center, when using the clock divider).
While the individual steps on most sequencers are typically static, held at one value, and meant for one thing, the Input-Dependent Relay Sequencer is ultimately as flexible as your imagination.
