Latency Matcher

Overview

Latency Matcher is designed to help out in those situations where you have parallel audio lines that have to be in sync, but one of them has a lot more latency than the other. Put one of Latency Matcher's eight tweakable delay lines in the path with less latency and tune the delay length to bring the paths back in sync. That's all it takes. Each line is good for delays from 0 to 65,536 samples, or, put another way, from zero to 1365 milliseconds. Furthermore, you can look at each channel's delay length either way, just by clicking on the display window; when the text is black, it's reporting in samples, and when it's purple, it's reporting in milliseconds. Similarly, to change the channel being shown in the display, just left-click on that channel's knob. Note that the module itself contributes one sample of latency on top of the dialed-in setting.

You can also type in captions above the channels; if the yellow caption fields aren't visible, click on the Caption Toggle to show them, then double-click on any of them and edit. Clicking the toggle again hides any caption with no text (even blanks) present while leaving the edited ones visible. The Clr Capt Button will delete the text from all eight captions; it's red to remind you that its action is irreversible.
