This module allows you to send gate and CV values by pushing its buttons. It has individual trigger outputs at the top (along the green strip) that will fire whenever a button is pushed, and will remain active as long as the button is held pressed. There is also a combined trigger output at the top left (labeled All) that is useful for when you want to send different CV values to same module while also sending triggers from every button.
The CV outputs on the right side (along the blue strip) send the respective CV values, determined by the respective knobs, each time a button is pressed. Depending on the state of the Hold CV switch at the bottom left, they will send the CV values only while the button is pressed, or they will hold them until a new button is pressed (as indicated by the LEDs at the top). Notice however, that this doesn't affect triggers.
So, for example, if you push button 3, a trigger will be sent to trigger output 3, as well as to the combined trigger output, and the CV values of the knobs along column 3 will be sent to CV outputs A, B, C, and D. The CV values are scaled by the range buttons at the bottom right, which allow you to select ranges of 1V, 2V, 5V, and 10V bipolar. There are also buttons at the top right that allow you to randomize all the knobs, and to return them to zero respectively.
This module is very useful for sending manual triggers and multiple CV values at once to control different elements of your patches. It can also be used to make presets that you can easily launch during performance by pressing the corresponding buttons. You can also assign the buttons to keys on a MIDI keyboard, so combining multiple copies of the module can make for a very powerful performance instrument that allows you to easily send 4 CV values with each key press. It works great with the other Benard modules, and with the entire Cherry Audio collection.
This module is part of the collection of Benard mini modules, which aims to provide powerful modules in very small packages for flexibility in designing patches when space is limited, such as when working on a small screen for studio or live performance.
Included in the Benard Mega Bundle Vol. 2 and the Mini Modules Bundle.
