Introducing Shifter, the next-generation frequency shifter module for Voltage Modular

Shifter allows you to shift the frequency from any input up or down. You can even modulate the frequency shift with exponential or linear through-zero frequency modulation, giving you unparalleled creative possibilities. To keep things clean a special anti-aliasing filter adjusts to the shifting frequency and removes content from the input that would fold back at 0hz and Nyquist Frequency. Turn it off for creative purposes.

But what sets Shifter apart is its EXT OSC input, which allows you to supply your own shifter oscillator, which can then be manipulated further by the internal shifter oscillator. This feature opens up a world of creative possibilities, allowing you to tailor the module to your specific needs and explore a vast array of sounds that are uniquely your own.

Shifter also has extra outputs for the shift oscillator! If you connect only the REAL input of the EXT OSC inputs, Shifter will transform this signal into its real and imaginary part, but you can also supply two vastly different signals for real and imaginary.

Mix the Frequency Shifting with its close relative Ring Modulation for interesting sounds and effects! And if the sounds are not gnarly enough.. turn down the internal samplerate of the module producing a glorious mess of shifted, aliased, frequencies. If things get out of hand, use the Wet control to blend with the original signal.
