Eight Thunderous Voices
Our most ambitious instrument to date, Cherry Audio’s Eight Voice polyphonic synthesizer meticulously emulates the immense sound of the Oberheim Eight Voice, one of the world’s rarest and most desirable vintage instruments. Predating modern microprocessor control, its eight independent dual-oscillator voice modules could be challenging to program. Cherry Audio Eight Voice’s unique Voice Link controls allow simple and powerful grouping of voice module controls, eliminating individually setting each module's controls when homogenous poly sounds are desired. Focus buttons allow instant enlargement of any section of the user interface, making sound programming a breeze, and massively flexible keyboard assign modes enable endless mono and poly keyboard zoning and layering options. All in all, we’ve transformed the original’s daunting user interface into a fun and inviting mondo poly synth experience.
Above all, Eight Voice knocks it out of the park with an incredibly accurate and huge sound, courtesy of award-winning synth designer, Mark Barton’s (MRB) circuit-correct recreation of the magnificent Oberheim state-variable filter. Eight Voice also includes a feature-packed eight-step “mini” sequencer, and high quality modulation delay and reverb effects. Cherry Audio’s Eight Voice is truly bursting with unique sound possibilities at an unbelievably affordable price!

¡ESPECTACULAR!

Stunning Audio Quality
I am more of a modular guy than a keyboard guy. But I had access to the Oberheim Four Voice for a while. I was never very impressed with it's voice architecture. It was very conventional and there is only so much you can do with filter-sweeps. The most interesting part for me was its ability to "scroll" through the individual SEMs with each key press. This allowed for great sonic fexibility as each note could sound slightly or very different from the preceding note. But for its intended purpose as a keyboard synthesizer, it sounded great and Cherry Audio's "Eight Voice" captures the sound quality of the original SEM voice rather well. The lush, dense quality of 8 SEMs synced up in mono or poly mode is stunning. Add the sequencer an additional LFO and all the other little perks and this application becomes an actual improvement over the original hardware instrument. And at this price its a flatlined no brainier. Buy it right now!

What a Powerhouse
If you don't have this synth yet, stop reading this review and just buy it. There is so much scope with the voice linking, sequencer, poly and mono modes. Have a sequence running and fire off some lead lines over the top, all in this one synth. The oscillators sound so fat and that filter is the real deal. With this and the Polymode you have a perfect game or movie soundtrack set up. So far I have all of CA's synths and they are great value and top quality. Nice one Cherry Audio.

Insane
I already own a plugin that simulated a single SEM. But this one is insane! Eight SEMs!

Pretty good emulation
Nice One Cherry Audio!!
Four Voice system owner and user for several years but sold it some time ago. One of my fave synths for organic polys.
I`m testing it right now and I like it! not perfect bit no so far from the real one. Just miss a couple of things that could make it better: Some overdrive (or more!) at the summing node for the voices, and also the option for more "slop" for each individual SEM, I mean the is a lot of movement when playing poly with different settings in each SEM, but I find a bit sterile sounding each isolated SEM.
its a no brainer for 29$!
